A planned power outage is scheduled for tomorrow, February 19 from 8 AM to 4 PM south of Sheldon Street, including Gold Hill, and south Virginia City.

Things to know...
1. Traffic may be limited in the area depending on the nature of the required work
2. Estimated outage times could change once crews arrive on scene to begin work
3. If you rely on electrically operated medical equipment, please have an alternate source of power on hand such as batteries
4. If you plan to use a back-up power supply such as a generator, please visit for important safety reminders
5. You may want to back up computer data, unplug televisions or switch off surge protectors as a precaution
6. Food will last up to eight hours if refrigerators and freezers are kept closed
7. Garage door openers and cordless phones will not operate during an outage

Some things can't be taught in the rookie academy or EMT school! Fire Fighter Barton consoled this infant by watching a cartoon movie using his cellphone on a recent scene call. Great work brother!
Crews from District 75 started Monday morning off with a vehicle accident where the occupant only received minor injuries. The patient was evaluated on scene, cleaned up, and signed AMA. The vehicle was stabilized and hazards were mitigated by fire fighters. Nevada Highway Patrol is overseeing the investigation.
