“A” Battalion Engine 74 crew enjoy a beautiful sunset after assisting Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District with a auto aid for a motor vehicle accident on I-80.
A handmade 1800s horse drawn steamer was brought back to life today by the on duty crew at Station 71. The antique piece, was generously donated by the Firehouse Barbecue restaurant located in Virginia City.

With Summer around the corner, crews are out in Six Mile Canyon, doing some district familiarization. Training on some of the trails in the area to facilitate a faster response should a wildfire happen. It also allows crews to evaluate the different vegetation and potential fuel loads in their response area!
With so much gloom going around we would like to share some happiness! Last evening at 2038 our fire family added a little princess to the mix! Danielle Raine Tillisch came into this world weighing in at 6lbs 10oz and 20.5" long! Momma and baby are both healthy! Congratulations to the Tillisch family, she is perfect!
Local 4227 members assigned to Engine 74 on B Battalion, responded to an auto aid vehicle fire, on Interstate 80 at Lockwood last evening. Solid team work with Truckee Meadows Engine 37, crews were able to make quick work of the fire, mitigate hazards, and get the Interstate opened back up with minimal delays. No injuries were reported.

North District crews from A Battalion performed a site tour at the Tracy Clark Power Plant yesterday. This allows familiarity of apparatus access points, water supply locations, target hazards, and review of HAZMAT utilized and stored on site. Get out there, learn your District, and train the Probie!
